The return visit
Last summer's guest can book on your link. That stay does not pay Airbnb's fee.
A direct website does not delete Airbnb's fee. It means the next stay, the one the guest books on your page, is not booked on Airbnb. This is the honest version of that idea.

Airbnb does not charge one percentage on every host account. Many host-only accounts pay a fee around 3 percent. Split-fee accounts put a larger service fee on the guest. The figure that matters is on a real payout in your account, not in a blog average.
Booking.com's cut is the percentage in your contract. Vrbo has its own schedule. On guests who return every year, a percentage of each stay adds up faster than a flat monthly site fee.
Card processing is a different cost. Stripe's fee, if you take cards, is Stripe's. Bizum lands on the mobile number you enter, under your bank's terms. Neither is a MyStay commission.
If a guest messages you inside Airbnb or Booking.com about dates, that conversation belongs to the listing. Moving it onto your site so the platform is not paid can breach their terms. MyStay is not a way to do that, and this guide will not describe how.
A finished stay is different. The guest slept in the house and wants the same week next year. Sending villasol.mystay.direct is a new booking. Still read the current platform terms. They change, and a 2026 summary is not the contract you accepted.
A guest who never came through the platform is direct from the start: a neighbour's friend, your own Instagram, a card on the kitchen table.
MyStay is ÂŁ14.99 a month for one listing. It does not keep a percentage of the stay. The draft preview is free. Paddle collects a card when you publish, and that starts the 7-day trial. Cancel before it ends and the subscription is not charged.
Guest payment is separate. Stripe confirms the stay when the card payment succeeds. You can take the full amount or a deposit percentage, with a security deposit as its own amount. Bizum and bank transfer stay pending until you confirm the money arrived. Rejecting the booking releases the dates.
iCal syncs with Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo so a night sold in one place is blocked in the other. It is not instant on every portal, so a look in August is still worth it.
Take one stay you already hosted and look at the platform fee on that payout. Compare it with a month of MyStay. One repeat stay a year often covers many months of the subscription. If nobody comes back, the website does not pay for itself. Keep the listing.
You do not have to unpublish anything to look. Paste an Airbnb, Booking.com or Vrbo link, or describe the place, read the draft, and decide. The card is for publishing.
The fee is gone only on the booking that never touches the platform.
