Take a holiday-let booking with Bizum

Bizum is the instant payment between Spanish bank accounts. The guest sends the stay to the mobile number you publish. It does not settle into a MyStay account. If the guest's bank does not offer Bizum for that amount, the method will not work for them.

Limits are the bank's, not ours. A weekend often fits a personal Bizum cap. A fortnight in August may not. Many hosts take a deposit by Bizum and the balance by card or transfer. You set the deposit percentage. A security deposit is a separate amount, at booking or on arrival.

The MyStay subscription is not paid by Bizum. Paddle collects that card when you publish. The software fee and the guest's money are different payments.

In payment settings, switch Bizum on and enter the mobile number. Without a number, guests are not offered the method. You can add a QR image URL and a short note: the reference you want, or that the name should match the booking.

The guest can pick Bizum when card or manual payment is also on. If Bizum is the only ready method, it is the one they see. The page shows the number, your note, and the QR if you added one.

The booking stays pending. The dates are held so nobody else takes them. When you see the Bizum, you confirm. If it never arrives, you reject the booking and the dates open up. Nothing watches your Bizum account for you.

Card checkout uses your Stripe account. A successful payment confirms the stay without an extra click. Charge the full stay or a deposit percentage. The balance is due before check-in, on the number of days you set.

You can offer card, Bizum and manual payment together. With every method off, the page only takes an enquiry, including WhatsApp if you added a number. WhatsApp does not collect money.

The common miss is publishing a Bizum number and not checking the bank. A pending Bizum is a blocked date and a guest waiting.

Say the amount, the reference, and that the booking is confirmed when you see the payment. Do not promise an instant confirmation if you check the phone in the evening.

If the stay is larger than your bank allows by Bizum, say so. Offer the deposit by Bizum and the rest by card.
